1. Who we are

Freeman Faithful (trading as StoVoo) is the data controller for personal data processed through stovoo.com and the StoVoo platform. We are based in the United Kingdom. Contact us at privacy@stovoo.com.

2. What we collect

Account data — name, email, password hash, role.
Vendor profile data — business name, logo, address, payout bank details (where you choose to provide them).
Customer data — order history, fulfilment address, phone number, dietary notes you submit.
Support messages — anything you send us via email or in-app chat.
Usage and device data — pages visited, actions taken, browser, operating system, IP address, approximate location, error logs.
Cookies — see “Cookies” below.

Payment card and billing details are collected by our Merchant of Record, Paddle, directly. We do not see or store full card numbers.

3. Why we use it (purposes & legal bases)

Provide the Service (contract performance) — create your account, run storefronts, process orders, deliver digital downloads, send service emails.
Security & fraud prevention (legitimate interests) — detect abuse, protect accounts, audit logs.
Customer support (contract / legitimate interests) — respond to your messages.
Product improvement & analytics (legitimate interests) — understand how features are used.
Marketing (consent) — only where you have opted in; you can withdraw consent at any time.
Legal compliance (legal obligation) — tax, accounting and law enforcement requests.

4. Who we share it with

Paddle — our Merchant of Record, for the sale of our products, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing and customer billing support.
Hosting and infrastructure providers — including our cloud database and edge compute provider, which host the platform and store data on our behalf.
AI providers — only where you use AI features, the prompt content is sent to the model provider for processing.
Email and analytics tools — to send transactional email and understand usage.
Professional advisers — accountants and lawyers, where reasonably necessary.
Authorities — where required by law or to protect rights.
Vendors and customers on the platform — when you place an order, the vendor sees the data needed to fulfil it; when you operate a vendor account, customers see your business profile.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside the UK and EEA. Where this is the case we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or adequacy decisions issued by the UK or European Commission.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations (typically up to 7 years for financial records). When data is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Subject to UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability and the right to withdraw consent. You can exercise these rights by emailing privacy@stovoo.com; we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, role-based permissions and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and notify us of any suspected compromise.

9. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

Essential — keep you signed in and remember your preferences. These cannot be turned off.
Analytics — help us understand how the Service is used.
Marketing — only where you have opted in.

10. Changes

We may update this notice. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last revised.
